Catechist Formation Process

The Office for Catechesis offers catechist formation credit for courses offered around the diocese. Classes are normally schedule in the fall and spring:

Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (University of Dayton)

The VLCFF offers convenient online courses for adult Catholics. Catechists may take individual courses for formation credit; completing the Certificate in Catechesis fulfills the requirements for the Advanced Level of formation.

Diocesan Adult Enrichment Conference

Catechist formation credit can be recieved by attending the biennial DAEC conference. The next conference will be held November 4-5, 2012.
