The Office for Social Concerns and Respect for Life embraces the ministry of Jesus Christ and the Gospel values of justice, peace and life. We value the dignity of all life from conception to natural death. Our education, advocacy and parish action flows from the social teaching of the Catholic Church.
Education for Catholic Social Teaching
Education is the best way for people to learn about many of the social issues within our culture today. There are many styles and approaches to educating children and adults.
The social teachings of the church are not always easy to understand or easy to articulate for people who want to know more about them. Our office offers a practical approach to understanding the social teachings of the Church.
We offer programs in key areas of Catholic social teaching. Sessions are presented in a variety of styles: power-point, group discussion/activity and video form with discussion.
