Biography
My name is David Curtin. I grew up on a farm with 8 brothers and sisters in central Illinois. We had great parents who taught and led by example our Catholic faith. I went to the University of Illinois, and after graduating, had a passion to get involved in politics and government, working for pro-life and pro-family candidates and causes for a number of years. Through these years, I kept praying and discerning God's will for my life. I deepened my prayer life by studying, reading, praying, and talking with pastors. I was an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, an usher at my church, and served a few years as a parish council member. Finally, God gave me clarity, so that I could take the step of entering the seminary. God is so faithful; all He asks is that we seek Him with a pure heart. At 44, I would be termed a "late vocation." I am enjoying Mundelein Seminary. As for my interests or hobbies: I like to read, write, play golf, and play with my nieces and nephews.
