Co-Workers in the Vineyard: Youth Ministry Networking Meetings
Anyone who serves youth in the parish or school is welcome to participate in these regular gatherings of youth ministers in the diocese. The two main purposes of these meetings are for youth ministers to come together to learn from and support one another, and to learn more about resources that are available for youth ministers.

Day of Prayer and Reflection
On Saturday, March 27, the Serra Club of Springfield is offering a “Pre-Holy Week” Day of Prayer and Reflection starting at 8:30 AM at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Springfield. Rev. John Sullivan, O.F.M. will be the keynote speaker. The day includes lunch, Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and Reconciliation. Reservations are required by calling either 217-529-2617, 217-341-2075, 217-523-2908, or 217-726-9479. There is no cost for this event, but a free-will offering is appreciated.

Advanced Catholic Training
Save the dates! ACT will be offered in three sessions: Aug. 1 - 3, 4 - 6, or 7 - 8 at Villa Maria Catholic Life Center on Lake Springfield. The mission of ACT is to provide young leaders in the Church an in-depth look at ministry options available in the Church today. Participants will have a variety of learning tracks to sign up for along with plenty of small group and community building. More inforlation is on the flyer linked below.

2010 National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry
December 9-12, 2010 • New Orleans, LA
 The NCCYM is the largest adult conference for Catholic Youth Ministers in the country. It is sponsored biennially on even numbered years by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry in order to help form and transform adults ministering to youth in the Catholic church. Thousands of youth and campus ministers, religious education leaders, performers and artists and volunteers from every level come together for four days of inspiring keynotes, challenging workshops, dynamic prayer and worship, helpful networking, extensive resources, and good-hearted entertainment. NCCYM is December 9-12, 2010 in New Orleans, LA! I will be arranging a group trip to the Crescent City so look for details next summer!
World Youth Day - Madrid, Spain
Pilgrimage information is now available! Plans include spending a day in Fatima, participating in the "Days in the Diocese" program, and the World Youth Day events in Madrid. Departure date is August 9, 2011 and returning August 22, 2011.
Early registration was due October 15, 2009! Deposit amount will increase with each passing payment deadline. There is a payment schedule to help ease the burden of the total amount due. Registration will stay open until April 2011.

National Catholic Youth Conference - Indianapolis 2011
November 10-12, 2011. Look for registration information next fall.
NCYC is the largest gathering of Catholic teenagers in the country with some 23,000 people expected. This event is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones. The schedule includes general sessions and workshops addressing a wide variety of topics as well as opportunities for reconciliation, daily liturgy, and special activities such as concerts, a dance, and comedy club. The thematic park is a unique venue incorporating traditional exhibits with interactive educational and recreational activities.
