NFP-only OB/GYN Practice Petition

The prevalent medical ethic of our contemporary American culture is one that accepts, and even encourages at times, abortion, contraception, sterilization and fertility treatments that are apart from the marital act and undermine the inherent dignity of each embryo. Many patients long for physicians who will respect them and their unborn children by practicing medicine with an understanding of the importance of virtue and respect for the moral law. Simultaneously, doctors themselves often feel pressure from their peers/superiors in the medical community to conduct procedures that are in fact contrary to their own conscience. This petition aims to bring patients and doctors together so that everyone in our area who desires to integrate their personal and professional lives in a way that is consistent with respect for all human life can in fact actually do so.

By signing the petition for an NFP-only OB/GYN practice in the Springfield, IL Diocese women indicate their interest in patronizing such a practice, and help doctors assess the viability of establishing one.

Fathers, husbands, and others who are not able to sign the petition are invited to show support for the goal of bringing an NFP-only OB/GYN to the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois by signing up with the contact list (link to input boxes below)
