Job Description

The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois is currently has an immediate opening for a Part-time Administrative Assistant in the Office for Pro-Life Activities and Special Ministries. The work schedule is 18 to 20 hours per week. The position provides administrative support to the Office Director, Associate Directors and other ministry coordinators. The position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative services, manages correspondence and other functions pertinent to the daily operations of the office, and assists the Director in planning, coordinating, and organizing events and activities. 

Job Qualifications

Applicants should have two to five years of successful experience as a secretary, or administrative assistant preferred.  Skills necessary include proficient knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, Publisher, and  Outlook, excellence in the ability to organize and plan,  good verbal and written communication, ability to follow-through to complete work in a timely and accurate manner, professional appearance and demeanor.
