Job Title: Marketing Communications & Community Leader

The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, under the leadership of Bishop Thomas John Paprocki, conducted a year-long diocesan synod in 2017, which culminated in a formal commitment of our spiritual community to a life of intentional discipleship and stewardship.  The resulting declarations set forth a bold, long-term vision for a faith community rooted deeply in prayer, committed to sound formation for people of all ages and stages of faith journey, and sent on mission to evangelize and serve.  Notable among the changes being implemented are restored order of the sacraments of initiation, a clear expectation of tithing at all levels of the diocese, and a goal to make Catholic education universally available through fully funded scholarships for all students.

As part of the execution of this ambitious vision, the mission of our communications office itself is being transformed, with a focus on evangelization, telling the stories of our discipleship journey, and proactively engaging the faithful across all communication media.
