The Office for Pro-Life Activities and Special Ministries and St Agnes Parish, Springfield will be hosting a Rosary and Pro-Life Stations of the Cross on Saturday, March 9, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am. Praying of the rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Stations of the Cross procession beginning at 9:30. The procession will travel from St Agnes Parish to Planned Parenthood. Bishop Paprocki will be leading the Stations of the Cross reflections. Please join us and encourage others to join us as well. Lunch will be served in the St Agnes Parish Center after the procession. 

If you plan on attending, please RSVP by March 1, 2019. Contact your Parish Respect Life Coordinator or the Office for Pro-Life Activities and Special Ministries at 217 698-8500, ext. 161.

If you want to get married and have a lasting relationship, full of love and respect, you must start with a solid preparation for your marriage. Pre-Cana is a Spanish language program offered by the Diocese of Belleville that will help you form a solid foundation for your marriage relationship. This program benefits couples who are getting married for the first time or couples who are living together and want to take the big step of sacramentalizing their marriage. The talks are presented by couples with many years of experience in marriage. Among the topics covered are:

  • The Sacrament of Marriage
  • Conjugal Communication
  • Family Finances
  • Effects of family of origin on marriage
  • Conjugal Prayer
  • Forgiveness and Healing
  • Blessings of fatherhood and other topics
  • Sexuality and Human Intimacy and Natural Family Planning

The registration fee is $65 in advance and applications are due March 2. The Pre-Cana will be held March 16, 2019 at

The Immigration Project is conducting a workshop for Legal Permanent Residents who are ready to naturalize(become a U.S. citizen) on Friday, November 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King Parish, 1930 Barberry Drive, Springfield, IL 62704.

A citizenship workshop is where we can do an initial and final legal assessment, fill out all pertinent USCIS applications, and have a case ready to mail by the end of the day. If you have any questions, please contact Christine Howe at .
